Principals Message
Dear Parents and School Community,
It is with great pleasure and excitement that I introduce myself as the new Interim Acting Principal of Community School P.S. 58X. I have been an educator with 20 years of experience, spanning various grade levels and administrative roles. Eleven of those years I taught as a teacher and instructional specialist, one of those years I worked as a Citywide Special Education Liaison where I co-wrote curriculum, and I worked as an Assistant Principal for the past eight years in District 9.
The pinnacle of my achievements has been being a mother to my two awesome children, ages 13 and 29. I am convinced that every child deserves a quality education that nurtures their individual talents, fosters their growth, and prepares them for a successful future. My leadership philosophy is to lead with love! I am deeply committed to creating a school environment that promotes joy, inclusivity, creativity, critical thinking, a love for learning and excellence for all.
I am excited about the countless opportunities for collaboration with staff, families, and community organizations to prioritize and enhance the well-being of our school community. With your support, I am looking forward to a successful 2024 - 2025 school year.
